Web Application Acceleration

Oracle Cloud integration · 13 node(s).

00Overview

Speed up your web apps straight from a flow by managing Oracle Cloud Web Application Acceleration end to end: create caching and compression policies, attach them to a load balancer, and move, rename or remove them as your setup changes. Look up and list policies and accelerations to check their status, and purge the whole cache on demand so visitors get fresh content the moment you publish. Create and update operations run asynchronously against your Oracle Cloud tenancy, so a flow can start one and then wait for the resource to go active before moving on.

Every field below is exactly what you see in the Flomation editor. Fields marked ● live picker let you choose from a list pulled live from your account — no IDs to look up.

01Connecting Web Application Acceleration

  1. Choose how the node authenticates in the Authentication field: Connect Oracle Cloud uses a managed connection you set up once in your Flomation environment, while API signing key (advanced) lets you supply raw OCI signing-key credentials directly.
  2. Recommended — for Connect Oracle Cloud: in your Flomation Environment, add a new Oracle Cloud connection and follow the guided setup to authorise Flomation against the compartment you choose. Once the connection tests successfully, set Authentication to Connect Oracle Cloud and select it in the node's Oracle Cloud connection field — it fills in the signing credentials for you.
  3. For API signing key (advanced): sign in to the Oracle Cloud Console, open the Profile menu → My profile → API keys → Add API key, and generate or upload a key pair. Oracle Cloud then shows a configuration preview with your Tenancy OCID, User OCID, Key Fingerprint and Region — copy each into the matching node field, setting Region to your home region (for example uk-london-1).
  4. Download the private key from that same screen and add it as a Flomation environment secret (e.g. waa_secret), then select it in the node's Private Key (PEM) field; if the key is encrypted, store its passphrase as a secret too and pick it in Private Key Passphrase.

Pick an Environment on your flow (Flow Settings → Environment) so the secret resolves. Secret fields never show the value — they reference ${secrets.your_secret}.

04Notes & Limitations

Behaviours and constraints worth knowing before you build with these nodes.

  • Create, Update and Delete run as asynchronous work requests, so the action returns a work-request ID and the resource reaches its final state a little later — poll it before a later step depends on the change being live.
  • Get, List, Purge Cache and Change Compartment complete synchronously and return their result straight away.
  • Listing policies or accelerations returns at most 25 pages of results and sets a truncation flag when more remain, so narrow the filter or page through them when you need the full set.
  • An acceleration policy only takes effect once it is attached to a load balancer, so create or update the policy and then associate it with the load balancer you want it to speed up.
