00Overview
Manage Oracle Cloud Email Delivery straight from a flow — create sending domains, add DKIM signing keys and read back the CNAME records you need to publish, and register the approved senders your transactional mail goes out as. Curate the account-wide suppression list that blocks addresses you must not email, and move any domain or sender between compartments as an automated step. Every domain, sender, DKIM key and suppression can be created, fetched, listed and deleted without touching the console, and sending domains can be updated in place as well.
Every field below is exactly what you see in the Flomation editor. Fields marked ● live picker let you choose from a list pulled live from your account — no IDs to look up.
01Connecting Email
- Sign in to the Oracle Cloud Console, open the Profile menu (the avatar at the top-right) and choose My profile.
- In the node, set Authentication to either Connect Oracle Cloud — which reuses an Oracle Cloud account you have already connected to Flomation, chosen in the Oracle Cloud connection field — or API signing key (advanced) to supply a signing key by hand using the steps below.
- For the advanced path, open API keys → Add API key under Resources, let Oracle Cloud generate a key pair and download the private key (a
.pemfile) — this is the signing key the node uses. - Oracle Cloud then shows a Configuration file preview; copy its values into the node:
tenancy→ Tenancy OCID,user→ User OCID,fingerprint→ Key Fingerprint, andregion→ Region (a plain region key such asuk-london-1). - For the Compartment OCID, open Identity & Security → Compartments and copy the compartment that holds your sending domains and senders — for suppression-list actions, use your tenancy OCID instead, as the suppression list is account-wide.
- Store the downloaded private key as a Flomation environment secret (e.g.
email_secret) and select it in the node's Private Key (PEM) field; if the key is passphrase-protected, add the passphrase as a secret too and pick it in Private Key Passphrase.
| Field | Type | Details | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Authentication | string | Connect Oracle Cloud, API signing key (advanced) | |
| Oracle Cloud connection | credential | Pick a connected Oracle Cloud account | |
| Region | string | e.g. uk-london-1 | |
| Private Key (PEM) | secret | The API signing private key — full PEM, incl. BEGIN/END lines | |
| Private Key Passphrase | secret | Only if the key is encrypted (optional) | |
| Tenancy OCID | string | ocid1.tenancy.oc1..aaaa… | |
| User OCID | string | ocid1.user.oc1..aaaa… | |
| Key Fingerprint | string | aa:bb:cc:… fingerprint of the uploaded API key |
Pick an Environment on your flow (Flow Settings → Environment) so the secret resolves. Secret fields never show the value — they reference ${secrets.your_secret}.

07Notes & Limitations
Behaviours and constraints worth knowing before you build with these nodes.
- Suppression-list actions are account-wide, so their
Compartment OCIDmust be the tenancy OCID rather than a child compartment, and any address you suppress is blocked across the whole tenancy. - Creating or deleting a sending domain or DKIM key, moving a domain between compartments, and updating a domain all run asynchronously and return a work-request id, so wait for that work request to finish — polling the matching Get action until a newly created resource reads ACTIVE — before you rely on the result.
- A newly created DKIM key comes back in the CREATING state and returns a CNAME record you must publish in your domain's DNS before it can sign mail, so poll until the key reaches ACTIVE and then add that record at your DNS provider, where propagation is outside Oracle Cloud's control.
- Email Delivery is a regional service, so the Region you connect to determines which domains, senders and DKIM keys are visible, and resources created in another region will not appear.
- List actions walk at most 25 pages of results before stopping, so narrow large result sets with the available name, address, state or date filters rather than expecting a single call to return everything.
