Object Storage
Oracle Cloud integration · 15 node(s).
00Overview
Store, retrieve and organise files in Oracle Cloud Object Storage straight from a flow — create and list buckets, upload and download objects, and copy, rename or delete them, or read an object's metadata without pulling its content. Hand out time-limited pre-authenticated request URLs so a person or an external system can download or upload a single object without any Oracle credentials. The tenancy namespace every bucket lives under is resolved for you, so you never have to look it up.
Every field below is exactly what you see in the Flomation editor. Fields marked ● live picker let you choose from a list pulled live from your account — no IDs to look up.
01Connecting Object Storage
- In the OCI Console, open the Profile menu (top-right) and choose your user to open My profile — this page shows your User OCID. From the same Profile menu, open your Tenancy page and copy the Tenancy OCID.
- Still on My profile, scroll to Resources → API keys and choose Add API key. Select Generate API key pair, download the private key, then click Add — Oracle displays the Key Fingerprint for the key you just added.
- In the node's credential fields, paste the Tenancy OCID, User OCID and Key Fingerprint, and set Region to the region your buckets live in (a plain identifier such as
uk-london-1). Leave Private Key Passphrase blank unless you encrypted the key. - Set Compartment OCID to the compartment that holds (or will hold) your buckets — find it under Identity → Compartments, or use the Tenancy OCID for the root compartment.
- In Flomation, add the downloaded private key (the full PEM, including the
BEGIN/ENDlines) as an environment secret (e.g.objectstorage_secret), then pick it in the node's Private Key (PEM) field.
| Field | Type | Details | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Authentication | string | Connect Oracle Cloud, API signing key (advanced) | |
| Oracle Cloud connection | credential | Pick a connected Oracle Cloud account | |
| Region | string | e.g. uk-london-1 | |
| Private Key (PEM) | secret | The API signing private key — full PEM, incl. BEGIN/END lines | |
| Private Key Passphrase | secret | Only if the key is encrypted (optional) | |
| Tenancy OCID | string | ocid1.tenancy.oc1..aaaa… | |
| User OCID | string | ocid1.user.oc1..aaaa… | |
| Key Fingerprint | string | aa:bb:cc:… fingerprint of the uploaded API key |
Pick an Environment on your flow (Flow Settings → Environment) so the secret resolves. Secret fields never show the value — they reference ${secrets.your_secret}.

Returns: tool_result, namespace, success, error
04Object
OCI Object Storage: Copy Object
oracle/objectstorage/object_copy · Action
Copy an object to another name and/or bucket (and optionally another region). The copy runs asynchronously; the work-request id is returned. Destination bucket and region default to the source. The namespace is resolved automatically.
| Field | Type | Details | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Source Bucket | string | Required | The bucket the object is in |
| Source Object Name | string | Required | The object to copy |
| Destination Object Name | string | Required | The name for the copy |
| Destination Bucket | string | Leave blank to copy within the source bucket | |
| Destination Region | string | Leave blank for the same region (e.g. uk-london-1) |
Returns: tool_result, work_request_id, success, error
OCI Object Storage: Delete Object
oracle/objectstorage/object_delete · Action
Permanently delete an object from an Oracle Cloud Object Storage bucket. The namespace is resolved automatically.
| Field | Type | Details | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bucket Name | string | Required | The bucket |
| Object Name | string | Required | The object key to delete |
Returns: tool_result, object_name, success, error
OCI Object Storage: Get Object
oracle/objectstorage/object_get · Action
Download an object's content from an Oracle Cloud Object Storage bucket. Returns the content as text plus a base64 encoding (use the base64 output for binary objects). Objects up to 100 MiB are supported — for larger objects, create a presigned URL to download instead. The namespace is resolved automatically.
| Field | Type | Details | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bucket Name | string | Required | The source bucket |
| Object Name | string | Required | The object key to download |
Returns: tool_result, content, content_base64, content_type, size_bytes, etag, storage_tier, archival_state, metadata, success, error
OCI Object Storage: List Objects
oracle/objectstorage/object_get_all · Action
List the objects in an Oracle Cloud Object Storage bucket, with their size, creation time and last-modified time. Optionally filter by name prefix (e.g. a folder). The namespace is resolved automatically. Large buckets are capped — check the 'truncated' output to tell a complete listing from a partial one.
| Field | Type | Details | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bucket Name | string | Required | The bucket to list |
| Name Prefix | string | Only objects whose name starts with this, e.g. reports/ (optional) |
Returns: tool_result, objects, count, truncated, success, error
OCI Object Storage: Head Object
oracle/objectstorage/object_head · Action
Fetch an object's metadata (size, content type, ETag, storage tier, archival state and any custom metadata) without downloading its content — use it to check whether an object exists, how big it is, or whether it must be restored from Archive first. The namespace is resolved automatically.
| Field | Type | Details | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bucket Name | string | Required | The bucket |
| Object Name | string | Required | The object key |
Returns: tool_result, size_bytes, content_type, etag, storage_tier, archival_state, metadata, success, error
OCI Object Storage: Put Object
oracle/objectstorage/object_put · Action
Upload an object into an Oracle Cloud Object Storage bucket. Content is a string (text or upstream data); enable Base64 to upload binary content that was base64-encoded upstream. The namespace is resolved automatically.
| Field | Type | Details | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bucket Name | string | Required | The target bucket |
| Object Name | string | Required | The object key, e.g. reports/2026-07.csv |
| Content | text | The object's contents (text, or base64 if Base64 is on) | |
| Content Type | string | e.g. text/plain, application/json (optional) | |
| Custom Metadata (JSON) | string | {"source":"crm"} — stored as opc-meta-* headers (optional) | |
| Content is Base64 | boolean | Decode the content from base64 before upload (for binary data) |
Returns: tool_result, object_name, etag, size_bytes, success, error
OCI Object Storage: Rename Object
oracle/objectstorage/object_rename · Action
Rename an object within an Oracle Cloud Object Storage bucket — a server-side move, no re-upload. By default the rename fails if an object already exists at the new name, so it can't silently overwrite an unrelated object; enable Overwrite to replace it. The namespace is resolved automatically.
| Field | Type | Details | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bucket Name | string | Required | The bucket |
| Current Object Name | string | Required | The object to rename |
| New Object Name | string | Required | The new name/key |
| Overwrite if exists | boolean | If the new name already exists: off (default) fails without touching it, on replaces it |
Returns: tool_result, object_name, etag, success, error
05Presigned
OCI Object Storage: Create Presigned URL
oracle/objectstorage/presigned_url_create · Action
Create a pre-authenticated request (PAR) for an object — a time-limited URL granting read (download) or write (upload) access with no credentials, like an S3 presigned URL. The namespace is resolved automatically.
| Field | Type | Details | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bucket Name | string | Required | The bucket the object is in |
| Object Name | string | Required | The object to grant access to |
| PAR Name | string | Required | A label for this pre-authenticated request |
| Access | string | Required | What the URL allows — choices: Read (download), Write (upload), Read & write |
| Expires in (hours) | integer | How long the URL is valid — default 24 |
Returns: tool_result, url, access_uri, par_id, expires_at, success, error
OCI Object Storage: Delete Presigned URL
oracle/objectstorage/presigned_url_delete · Action
Revoke a pre-authenticated request (PAR) by its id, immediately invalidating the URL. The namespace is resolved automatically.
| Field | Type | Details | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bucket Name | string | Required | The bucket the PAR is on |
| PAR ID | string | Required | The pre-authenticated request id (from List Presigned URLs) |
Returns: tool_result, par_id, success, error
OCI Object Storage: List Presigned URLs
oracle/objectstorage/presigned_url_get_all · Action
List the pre-authenticated requests (PARs) on a bucket — their name, target object, access type and expiry. The URLs themselves are only shown at creation time. The namespace is resolved automatically.
| Field | Type | Details | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bucket Name | string | Required | The bucket |
Returns: tool_result, presigned_urls, count, truncated, success, error
06Notes & Limitations
Behaviours and constraints worth knowing before you build with these nodes.
- Reading an object into a flow is capped at 100 MiB; for anything larger, create a pre-authenticated request URL and download the object from that instead of using the download action.
- Each list action walks only a bounded number of pages, so on a large bucket check the Truncated output to tell a complete listing from a partial one.
- Copying an object runs as a background job and returns a work-request id rather than the finished copy, so track that id if you need to confirm the copy completed.
- Because Object Storage performs the copy on your behalf, your tenancy needs a policy authorising the Object Storage service to manage objects in the destination before a copy will succeed.
- Objects in the Archive storage tier must be restored before their content can be downloaded, so use the Head Object action to check an object's archival state before attempting a download.
