Oracle Cloud integration · 49 node(s).

00Overview

Provision and run Oracle Cloud NFS file storage straight from a flow — create file systems and mount targets, wire the exports that make them mountable, and move resources between compartments. Automate the day-two work too: take and schedule point-in-time snapshots, replicate file systems to another region or availability domain for disaster recovery, set per-user and per-group storage quotas, and manage the outbound LDAP connectors mount targets use for directory lookups. Every List and Get action is available as well, so you can build inventory checks and let earlier results drive the rest of your automation.

Every field below is exactly what you see in the Flomation editor. Fields marked ● live picker let you choose from a list pulled live from your account — no IDs to look up.

01Connecting File Storage

  1. The simplest path is the default Authentication method, Connect Oracle Cloud. Under your environment's credentials in Flomation, add an Oracle Cloud connection, give it a name, and connect your Oracle Cloud account so Flomation holds the signing details for you.
  2. In each File Storage node, leave Authentication on Connect Oracle Cloud and pick your connection in the Oracle Cloud connection field — the tenancy, user, region and fingerprint are filled in for you.
  3. To use an existing key instead, switch Authentication to API signing key (advanced) and fill Tenancy OCID, User OCID, Region and Key Fingerprint from your user's API Keys page in the OCI Console (your profile → API Keys → Add API Key, which shows the matching fingerprint).
  4. For that advanced path, store the PEM contents as a Flomation environment secret (e.g. filestorage_secret) and select it in the node's Private Key (PEM) field; add a Private Key Passphrase secret only if your key is encrypted.

Pick an Environment on your flow (Flow Settings → Environment) so the secret resolves. Secret fields never show the value — they reference ${secrets.your_secret}.

OCI File Storage: Get Snapshot

oracle/filestorage/snapshot_get · Action

Fetch a single Oracle Cloud file-system snapshot by OCID — its name, parent file system, snapshot type and lifecycle state.

FieldTypeDetails
Compartment OCIDstringocid1.compartment.oc1..aaaa… (scopes the snapshot picker)
Snapshot OCIDstringRequiredocid1.snapshot.oc1..aaaa…

Returns: tool_result, snapshot, id, lifecycle_state, success, error

OCI File Storage: List Snapshots

oracle/filestorage/snapshot_list · Action

List the snapshots of an Oracle Cloud NFS file system, filtered by file system OCID and/or compartment. Snapshots are not availability-domain-scoped. Walks pagination up to a safe cap.

FieldTypeDetails
Compartment OCIDstringocid1.compartment.oc1..aaaa… (scopes the file-system picker)
Availability Domainstringe.g. Uocm:UK-LONDON-1-AD-1 (scopes the file-system / export-set picker; not otherwise used)
File System OCIDstringocid1.filesystem.oc1..aaaa… (list this file system's snapshots)

Returns: tool_result, snapshots, count, truncated, success, error

OCI File Storage: Create Snapshot Policy

oracle/filestorage/snapshot_policy_create · Action

Create an Oracle Cloud file system snapshot policy — the schedule that automates snapshot creation and retention. Attach file systems to it to have snapshots taken on schedule. Returns the OCID immediately in a CREATING state; poll Get Snapshot Policy until ACTIVE.

FieldTypeDetails
Compartment OCIDstringRequiredocid1.compartment.oc1..aaaa… (use the tenancy OCID for the root)
Availability DomainstringRequirede.g. Uocm:UK-LONDON-1-AD-1
Display NamestringA friendly name for the snapshot policy (optional)
Policy PrefixstringPrefix applied to every snapshot this policy creates, e.g. acme (optional)
Schedules (JSON array)text[{"timeZone":"UTC","period":"DAILY","hourOfDay":18,"retentionDurationInSeconds":604800}] — max 10; period one of HOURLY/DAILY/WEEKLY/MONTHLY/YEARLY (optional)
Freeform Tags (JSON)string{"env":"prod"} (optional)

Returns: tool_result, snapshot_policy, id, lifecycle_state, success, error

OCI File Storage: Delete Snapshot Policy

oracle/filestorage/snapshot_policy_delete · Action

Permanently delete an Oracle Cloud file system snapshot policy by OCID. Detach it from any file systems first if OCI reports it is still in use. Poll Get Snapshot Policy (it 404s once gone).

OCI File Storage: Get Snapshot Policy

oracle/filestorage/snapshot_policy_get · Action

Fetch a single Oracle Cloud file system snapshot policy by OCID — its display name, policy prefix, lifecycle state and the snapshot schedules it runs.

FieldTypeDetails
Compartment OCIDstringocid1.compartment.oc1..aaaa… (scopes the snapshot-policy picker)
Snapshot Policy OCIDstringRequiredocid1.filesystemsnapshotpolicy.oc1..aaaa…

Returns: tool_result, snapshot_policy, id, lifecycle_state, success, error

OCI File Storage: List Snapshot Policies

oracle/filestorage/snapshot_policy_list · Action

List the Oracle Cloud file system snapshot policies in a compartment and availability domain (both required — snapshot policies are AD-scoped), optionally filtered by display name. Walks pagination up to a safe cap.

Returns: tool_result, snapshot_policies, count, truncated, success, error

OCI File Storage: Update Snapshot Policy

oracle/filestorage/snapshot_policy_update · Action

Update an Oracle Cloud file system snapshot policy — its display name, snapshot prefix and/or the list of snapshot schedules. Leave schedules blank to keep the current ones untouched.

FieldTypeDetails
Compartment OCIDstringocid1.compartment.oc1..aaaa… (scopes the snapshot-policy picker)

Returns: tool_result, snapshot_policy, id, lifecycle_state, success, error

OCI File Storage: Update Snapshot

oracle/filestorage/snapshot_update · Action

Update an Oracle Cloud file system snapshot's free-form tags and/or expiration time (the snapshot name is immutable). Only the fields you supply are changed; the rest are left as-is.

09Notes & Limitations

Behaviours and constraints worth knowing before you build with these nodes.

  • Listing file systems, mount targets, export sets, snapshot policies, replications and outbound connectors requires both a Compartment OCID and an Availability Domain because these resources are availability-domain scoped, whereas exports, snapshots and quota rules are reached through their parent resource instead.
  • A file system is not reachable by any client until you add an export linking it to a mount target's export set at an NFS path; creating the file system on its own does not expose it.
  • Newly created file systems, mount targets, snapshot policies, snapshots and outbound connectors come back immediately in a CREATING state, so poll the matching Get action until it reports ACTIVE before mounting, wiring or otherwise depending on the resource.
  • Deleting a mount target also deletes its export set and every export in that set, cutting off every client that mounts through it.
  • List Exports and List Snapshots both reject a completely unscoped call: List Exports needs at least a compartment, export set or file system, and List Snapshots needs at least a file system or compartment.
  • Whether a quota rule enforces a hard or soft limit is fixed when the rule is created and cannot be changed afterwards; only its display name and gigabyte limit can be updated later.
